Have you ever been stung by a bee? Bitten by a dog?
Yes and yes.
The bee:
In third grade I was out in the field at school when the girl I was talking to told me I had a bug on my face. "Where?" I asked
"It's a fly . . . " she said
"Where is it?" I asked again
"No, it's a beetle. . ."
"WHERE?"
"NO! IT'S A BEE!"
I started wiping my hands all over my face to get it off. When it was gone I went to find my mom.
"I think I was stung by a bee" I told her.
"You sure did". It had stung me in the chin. She took me down to the school nurse and they took the stinger out. Funny thing is I didn't feel a thing.
The dog:
We had this german shepherd when I was younger. Best dog in the world. We were standing at the door to the back yard playing with her ball. She was standing just outside the door and I was inside. The tennis ball was at my feet and I kicked it. I was trying to kick it passed her so she could chase it. In her excitement she bit my foot instead of the ball. It wasn't a bad bite and I know she wasn't aiming for me. But there you have it.

Why do people listen to this Pat Robertson guy? He says that the people of Haiti brought this earthquake upon themselves for a pact they made with the devil 200 years ago. Here is a quote from the article on CNN.com:
Robertson, the host of the "700 Club," blamed the tragedy on something that "happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it."
The Haitians "were under the heel of the
French. You know, Napoleon III and whatever," Robertson said on his
broadcast Wednesday. "And they got together and swore a pact to the
devil. They said, 'We will serve you if you will get us free from the
French.' True story. And so, the devil said, 'OK, it's a deal.' "
Are there actual people out there that hear this and think "Wow, Pat Robertson, I had no idea that happened. I guess you are right, the people of Haiti do deserve the devastation and pain of this earthquake."
He actually used the words "True story.", as if he was there when the Haitians had this conversation with the devil. It just drives me crazy when people make things up knowing that they have a following out there that will believe every word they say. I guess when religion is involved, you can create any lie you wish to prove your point.
But that's freedom of speech, right. I guess he's allowed to say whatever idiotic thing he wants to.
